Nitro Cold Brew
E-Commerce Experience

Challenge

We noticed that there was a gap in Starbucks e-commerce experience compared to other consumer touchpoints. In addition, shopping behavior has changed dramatically during the pandemic. There was an opportunity to create a cohesive experience across touchpoints — including e-commerce — started with Nitro Cold brew.

Solution

Focused on the smoothness and flavors, I designed Nitro Cold Brew’s Amazon product details page and collaborated with the developing partner agency. On the page's below-the-fold section, there were five incentives to help consumers choose Nitro Cold Brew: intro of the smoothness, coffee cascade's video demonstration, flavor carousel, detailed instruction to activate smoothness, and the comparison chart that allows a person to link to each flavor's product details page.

Outcome

This was an initiative to elevate Starbucks e-commerce experience and to test the workflow with our partner agency. We built a partner relationship with Molecular BBDO to develop more Starbucks e-commerce experience.

Coffee Portfolio

Challenge

With Starbucks Ready-to-Drink, people can enjoy their coffee with quality and taste no matter where they are and what they are doing. How can we connect Ready-to-Drink to consumers' lifestyles and meet them at the moment of purchase? 

Solution

Inspired by coffee variety and life moments, I designed the key visuals to be applied to digital, in-store, and merchandising units. Along with the key visual, we also had a virtual product photo shoot to create a product library.

Outcome

The social experience team used the key visuals as an inspiration to create more specific posts. Adding top angle shots in the product library also provided more flexibility to use the imagery across all channels.

Tripleshot Energy Coffee

Challenge

“It’s not enough to just get through the day. I want energy to pursue the passions I care about most”, this was the consumer insight for the energy drink category. Starbucks Tripleshot Energy has more caffeine than traditional energy drinks. How can we connect consumers to fuel their passions with Starbucks Tripleshot Energy?

Solution

To capture the energy and passion, I created the key visual and social concepts with graphical elements in a dynamic and energetic tone. I also used a hint of bright yellow to highlight the energy.

Outcome

Collaborated with a bigger production and social experience team, I enhanced my leadership and direction-giving skills by giving clear and actionable directions to help keep the project moving forward.
